PROVIDING HEALTHCARE TO THE UNINSURED

Virginia G. Piper Medical and Dental Clinic

(602) 261-6868 - by appointment only

Virginia G. Piper Medical and Dental Clinic - St. Vincent de Paul - PhoenixEach year, more than $3.6 million worth of medical and dental services are provided to low-income, working families who are unable to afford insurance coverage.

More than 160 physicians and dentists volunteer more than 17,100 hours of their time and professional expertise each year to make basic health care available to these families.

Dentists, dental hygienists, dental technicians, doctors, nurses, physician assistants, medical assistants, lab technicians, pharmacists, interpreters and clerical personnel all donate of their valuable time to make the clinic a success.

In the Dental Clinic, we provide comprehensive children's treatment plans that teach oral hygiene skills to children who may never have visited a dentist. Aided by the generosity of local hospitals, pharmacies, laboratories and other agencies, the medical clinic is able to provide services ranging from the treatment of acute illnesses to chronic diseases such as diabetes.

In the Dental Clinic, we provide comprehensive children's treatment plans that teach oral hygiene skills to children who may never have visited a dentist. Dental services, from teeth cleanings to denture fittings, are available to all who qualify.

The Virginia G. Piper Medical and Dental Clinic provided 15,460 patient visits in 2009. Of these patient visits, 5,850 were for medical care, 1,902 were adult dental visits and 5,174 were children's dental visits. Over 2,500 of the patient visits included medical counseling, which is an integral step in preventing future health complications.
