Easter excitement for all at St. Vincent de Paul

Many smiles were forged at our annual Easter Basket Distribution

St. Vincent de Paul knows the importance of Easter, especially for the kiddos in our lives and community!

That's why, on Holy Saturday this year, the staff and volunteers from SVdP's Family Evening Meal came in to run their annual Easter Basket Distribution!

That's where we snapped this photo of a girl opening her Easter basket in a moment of complete joy. While her mom helped her open it, she pulled out a jar of blue Flarp, a putty that makes... questionable noises!

Moments like these are so significant because many families are struggling to meet basic necessities, like putting food on the table or keeping a roof over their family's heads. Without a distribution like the one held on Saturday, many kids wouldn't get the chance to know an Easter that so many others experience every year.

A special thank you to the Girl Scout troops of Kyrene and Dignity Health St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center for providing the Easter baskets for our families. And thank you to St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center for volunteering with us to help the Easter festival special for families!
