6th Annual Stop Hunger Servathon

Sodexho to Feed and Serve Families at St. Vincent de Paul's Family Evening Meal

PHOENIX, AZ – On Wednesday, April 28, employees from Sodexho will be providing and serving a meal of southern fried chicken, roast pork loin, red beans and rice, veggies, salad, dinner rolls, dessert and some special surprises for up to 750 adults and children at the Society of St. Vincent de Paul's Family Evening Meal.*

Each year, Sodexho recognizes April as Servathon Month; however, throughout the year, Sodexho employees involve themselves in many volunteer projects and donation drives that benefit the hungry and homeless.

Last year, Sodexho employees brought the Servathon to St. Vincent de Paul's Family Evening Meal in April and they also provided a Christmas party and dinner in December. In addition, Sodexho employees provided facilities maintenance work at SVdP and contributed over 23,300 pounds of food to SVdP and St. Mary's Food Bank. At the beginning of 2004, Sodexho contributed 4,300 pounds of food to St. Vincent de Paul from the Fiesta Bowl.

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul feels very fortunate to be a recipient organization of Sodexho's efforts to stop hunger in Arizona and across the country.

*St. Vincent de Paul's Family Evening Meal is served at the Dan O'Meara Center, located at 420 W. Watkins in Phoenix. Serving begins at 5pm.
