Continuing the Legacy of a Dedicated Teacher:

The Richard Beier Metro Tech Scholarship Fund

PHOENIX, AZ - On Saturday, May 8, 2004, Richard Beier died doing something he loved most-showing his Metro Tech students that the world is full of possibilities.

Because of his unyielding dedication and ability to inspire students to seek higher education, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul announces the establishment of The Richard Beier Metro Tech Scholarship Fund.

The Richard Beier Metro Tech Scholarship will be awarded annually to an outstanding Metro Tech student who has demonstrated the desire and motivation to pursue and complete his or her dream of a college education. The assistance will be renewable until graduation.

The scholarship award will be administered through the Society of St. Vincent de Paul's One At a Time Financial Aid Program which assists students, with particular emphasis on first-generation scholars, who may not have the family resources or qualify for scholarships that emphasize grades or test scores. Richard Beier was deeply involved with the One At a Time Program, not only because of his membership with St. Vincent de Paul, but also because of his commitment to his Metro Tech students and their educational aspirations.

For more information on how to support the Richard Beier Metro Tech Scholarship Fund, please call (602) 850-6721.
