Become a Table Captain for the 2024 Restoring Hope Community Fundraising Breakfast
Our Table Captains are the reason for the success of our fundraising breakfast. Table Captains tap into their personal network of friends and colleagues to invite people who will be moved by the mission of SVdP, and are able to generously support it through a financial donation.
Please consider who might like to join you at this inspiring breakfast. You can fill a full table of 10 or just fill a half table of 5, including yourself.
What should I tell my potential guests?
Begin by sharing your passion for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul and the critical work we do to help working poor and homeless families and individuals in our local communities.
This breakfast will be the most inspiring and moving event you and your guests will attend all year, as we share stories of lives transformed through our programs and people.
The event is free due to the generosity of our sponsors. The Restoring Hope Breakfast is our largest and most important fundraising event of the year. It is a significant source of funding for our comprehensive programs and services. Guests will be asked to make a financial donation at the event.
All donations are tax deductible. Donations may also be eligible for the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit, which allows you to receive a dollar for-dollar tax credit (up to $938 for a couple, $470 for a single). There is no need to itemize.
Submitting your guest list:
We prefer to have your guest list by October 11th, but the final due date is October 18th. Seating is limited this year, so please submit your guest list early in order to ensure that you and your guests have a seat.
As a table captain, there are two ways of ensuring your guests are registered and sitting at your table.
The first way is to have your guests register themselves.
When doing this, have your guests select your name from the list of table captains. During the first week of October, we will email you a list of guests who have signed up under your name. That way, you can follow up with your guests to register by the deadline, which is October 18th.
The second way is to register all of your guests yourself.
You can do this by registering all your guests at once and choosing yourself as the table captain. This option allows you to keep track of the number of guests confirmed at your table. We will send your guests an event confirmation once we receive your guest list. It includes all of the event details.
Don't forget to remind your guests at least one week prior to the event and confirm their attendance. With limited seating, please let us know of any cancellations as soon as possible.
If your guests are unable to attend, they can still make a tax-deductible donation online, by phone, or we can send them a donation form.
What else do I need to do?
Enjoy being an ambassador for SVdP. We are so grateful for your commitment to be a table captain— so we try to make your job easy! Belle Keene and the St. Vincent de Paul team will provide regular email updates and information regarding parking, seating, and event program. We will also send you special stories about our work and success, which you can share with your guests.
