Volunteers are vital to our daily work to feed, clothe, house and heal people in need. Just as important, we believe that the experience of volunteering is life-giving and life-changing. 

That's why we created a wide range of volunteer opportunities to fit all ages and all lifestyles. In addition, we intentionally foster meaningful service experiences that give both volunteers and program guests the joy of community and connection.

Serve a meal, sort clothing donations, lead a workshop or tutor a child--whatever your skills and interest, you can share with us at St. Vincent de Paul! Volunteers are needed daily at all of our programs and locations.

Highlighted on-site volunteer opportunities
Dining Rooms
Set the table for a welcoming and nourishing dining experience for homeless and food insecure guests. Duties include plating and serving meals, cleaning up and even assisting with distribution of essential items like clothing and hygiene kits.

Shelter Meal Plating
SVdP is currently providing food for 5 shelters throughout the valley and will be adding at least 4 more over the next year. That is over 5,000 meals a day! Help plate meals for our shelter guests in the SVdP kitchen.

Hearts and Hands Day
Specially created for families and groups with children, Hearts and Hands Days are large volunteer gathering organized for the smallest volunteers. Projects include arts and crafts like making blessings cards to sorting and packaging sack lunches and coffee kits.

Thrift Stores
With multiple locations across the Valley, thrift stores are a great way to serve within your neighborhood. Duties include receiving donations, organizing shelves and general upkeep of the stores.
