Volunteering as a family is a great way to introduce your kids to the values of community service and giving back. We know it can be hard to find places to serve with your kids. At St. Vincent de Paul we provide opportunities for kids of all ages to come participate with an adult and other opportunities for kids starting at age 14 to volunteer on their own. No matter what your contribution, volunteering at SVdP makes a huge impact for those in need in our community.

We provide a wide range of volunteer opportunities that are open to families with children. Listed below are a few of our most popular options for families with young kids.

Highlighted volunteer opportunities for youth
Dream Center
Kids as young as 9 can volunteer with an adult to help provide educational enrichment, assisting with crafts, homework, reading, STEM projects, etc. in our Dream Center.

Food and Clothing Bank
Kids as young as 6 can volunteer with an adult to help sort and organize food donations in our Food Reclamation Center. This food goes into our food boxes and into the homes of thousands of Arizona families in need.

Hearts and Hands Day
Held on the 3rd Wednesday and 1st Saturday of every month, our Hearts and Hands Days offer an opportunity for kids of all ages to give back. Activities include crafts, sorting food and other simple opportunities for families and children to serve.

Our virtual volunteering program, Help from Home, offers opportunities to contribute to your community from anywhere, anytime, with kids of any age. Projects range from creating homemade holiday cards to assembling outreach kits for those experiencing homelessness and so much more.

How do I schedule a volunteer opportunity?

Signing up to volunteer is easy! Click the button to register, complete the volunteer interest form and one of our volunteer schedulers will reach out within two business days to coordinate a date and time. They'll also share parking instructions, clothing suggestions and other details for your volunteer experience!

  4. Schedule and confirm your shift
