While our goals may be the same, we recognize that each corporate partner has different needs. That’s why we tailor unique engagements that speak to an organization’s social responsibility platform, its employees and leadership teams.
Ways to Get Involved
Philanthropy from key for-profit partners is an important means of operational sustainability for any nonprofit. On average, corporate partners account for roughly 11% of SVdP’s annual revenue. We invite you to review our financial health, capacity and sustainability plans below and consider adding us to your annual budget.
All are welcome to join our mission of feeding, clothing, housing and healing our neighbors in need. Come in small groups, large groups, individually, and even virtually. We are eager to work with your organization to collectively meet the needs of our community. Volunteers like you make up 95% of our workforce.
Corporate partners, particularly retailers, are in a great position to help our community in need. Consider hosting drives in the summer and winter to support the programs of your choice: food, socks, backpacks, water, blankets, toys. You name it – we will drop off and pick up the boxes, and your employees do the rest!
During the summer, we give out more than 5,700 bottles of water a day to people in need and open shelters for people experiencing homelessness. Join other corporate partners as we save lives with these basic and critical summertime needs as temps hit triple-digits in the Valley.
Whether it’s opportunities for low-income families to enjoy gifts around the tree on Christmas morning, special holiday meals for our veterans experiencing homelessness, or 4,500 Thanksgiving Day dining room meals, will you join us as we offer the community hope during the holidays?
We will work with you to identify a program that aligns with your social responsibility focus. Whether you are eager to support education, access to health and dental care, veterans, an end to homelessness or food insecurity, we have a program that needs your critical support.
Prominent naming opportunities through our capital campaigns offer a legacy to be remembered through the years. They are coveted by only the most ‘woke’ organizations that have a well-defined and well-honed social responsibility mission, and employees who care.
Charles Schwab Foundation: A Partner We Can Count On
Charles Schwab Foundation has been a trusted SVdP partner for many years. It has what is known as Charles Schwab Volunteer Week, when about 100 employees descend upon SVdP’s main campus in South Phoenix for a full 2 weeks to volunteer across various programs. At the onset of COVID in March/April 2020, when we lost our volunteers overnight, Charles Schwab Foundation swooped in to offer its commercial kitchen. They prepared almost 50,000 sandwiches, helping us get through an incredibly challenging time and ensuring meals for our food-insecure community. Charles Schwab Foundation consistently donates between $30,000 and $50,000 each year, and supports several programmatic areas, including dining rooms, our Dream Center after-school program for at-risk kids, and financial literacy. Sagicor Life Insurance Co. Saves the Day … and Then Some
Sagicor Life Insurance Company started a relationship with SVdP during a volunteer project several years ago and today is a ‘Golden 3’ partner. It held a food drive at its Scottsdale location and, showing true innovation, Sagicor made it easy for employees to donate food items while driving through the employee parking garage (a total of 800 lbs of food!). When Sagicor’s leadership team took its first tour of the SVdP campus in South Phoenix, they were so moved they presented us with a generous check. In 2021 they saved the day of one of our turnkey holiday programs that supports at-risk kids during the holidays by becoming the title sponsor and stepping up with a gift of $25,000 at a time when it was close to being cancelled. We are so proud to have Sagicor as a ‘Golden 3’ member of the SVdP family!
