Friday Night Fever Fundraising Challenge
It's game time Arizona!
This fall, high school football isn't just about Friday night lights—it's about lighting up the lives of families across our state this Thanksgiving.
A Tradition of Giving Back For over three decades, Arizona has come together for Turkey Tuesday. What started in 1992 as a partnership between 12 News, Bashas' Family of Stores, and St. Vincent de Paul has grown into something extraordinary—the largest one-day turkey drive in the entire country. Every November, our community rallies to provide thousands of turkeys and complete holiday meals to Arizona families who need them most. This year, we're taking it to the next level.
Introducing: The Friday Night Fever Fundraising Challenge We're calling on every high school football team across Arizona to join us in the ultimate competition. From now until Turkey Tuesday on November 25th, your team has the chance to show what Friday Night Fever community spirit really means.
Here's how it works:
Sign up your team to host a digital fundraiser, then rally your players, parents, alumni, and entire school community to compete against rival schools. Every dollar raised goes directly to feeding Arizona families this Thanksgiving through St. Vincent de Paul's Turkey Tuesday drive. This isn't just about bragging rights (though those are nice too). This is about showing that Arizona high school athletes are champions on AND off the field.
What's at Stake?
The winning school—the team that raises the most funds—will earn some serious recognition:
- Featured spotlight on 12News Friday Night Fever with Cam Cox
- Your team, your students, your story broadcast across Arizona
- $1,000 equipment sponsorship from Bashas'. Put that money toward the gear your program needs
- But here's the real win: knowing your team made Thanksgiving brighter for hundreds of Arizona families.
