Chief Medical Officer: Dr. Maurice Lee, MD, MPH, FAAFP
Maurice was born and raised in Arizona. He completed his undergraduate degree at Arizona State University and then on to University of Arizona where he obtained his Doctorate in Medicine and Masters of Public Health degree in Clinical Leadership. While in residency he started and ran a free clinic then worked at a Phoenix Federally Qualified Health Center before joining St. Vincent de Paul. Maurice is board certified in Family Medicine and has a passion for the underserved, evidence based medicine, community medicine and teaching. He is the founder and president of the Arizona Safety Net, a collaboration among the Phoenix area free and low cost clinics. He is responsible for making SVdP a teaching institution, incorporating all the local medical schools and a number of residency programs.
Medical Assistant: Antoinette
Antoinette joined the St. Vincent de Paul team in July of 2007. She is a Medical Assistant and our Kids Clinic Coordinator. She is invaluable in helping meet the needs of our pediatric patients with services ranging from preventive health care to the care of acute and chronic diseases. She takes pride in serving the uninsured and underserved population.
Medical Office Coordinator: Zaira
Zaira joined the St. Vincent de Paul medical team in 2015 as a volunteer then as our Medical Office Coordinator. She has several years of medical office experience having worked in both private practice and community health centers across the valley. She enjoys working with and serving the community affected by economic, social, racial and language disparities in order to gain access to comprehensive healthcare.
Chronic Care and Quality Coordinator: Gaby
Gaby has a B.S. in exercise and wellness and an M.S. in Science of Health Care Delivery from Arizona State University. Gaby began volunteering with SVdP in 1994 and officially joined the team in 2018. She has a passion for providing equitable health care resources to the underserved population. She is always learning and disseminating new ways and resources that can be shared throughout the safety net to better help the underserved population.
Yazmin joined the St. Vincent de Paul medical team in 2017. She is one of the receptionist who enjoys working with others and helping the community. She started off as assisting Medicare Beneficiaries and really enjoyed doing her best to answer their questions, which drove her to us. Wanting to expand in this field, keep learning, serving and helping others.
Medical Assistant: Maria
Maria joined the St. Vincent de Paul Medical Clinic in 2018. She is a medical assistant and the chronic care coordinator. She has been working in the underserved medical field since 2001 and could not see herself working in any other environment. We couldn’t be luckier to have someone whose passion aligns with those of the clinic. She is excited to be able to educate our community to live healthy lives.
