How Do You Make the World a Better Place?

Dream Center kids share the different ways they help others

How I Make The World A Better Place

Martin Luther King, Jr. once said, "Life's most persistent and urgent question is, 'What are you doing for others?'" At St. Vincent de Paul, we are dedicated to feeding, clothing, house and healing individuals and families in our community who have no where else to turn for help. But just as important, we help others serve their neighbors in need through different volunteer opportunities. And we believe that everyone can help someone regardless of age or economic background.

We recently stopped by our Dream Center to ask the kids how they help to make the world a better place by helping others. We were inspired and delighted by what we saw and heard, and we think you will be too!

Every night in our Family Dining Room, we serve nutritious meals to hundreds of families. After dinner, children can go to our Dream Center to get help with homework, make arts and crafts, take computer and music classes, and do fun science experiments.
