Donovan McNabb makes Mother's Day celebration extra special at SVdP

The former NFL quarterback gives 100 roses & gift cards to moms of the family drive-thru

While honoring and celebrating his own mother this weekend, Donovan McNabb also took a moment to show appreciation and offer support to the mothers in his local Arizona community through St. Vincent de Paul.

On Friday, the former NFL football player donated 100 roses and Walmart gift cards — $25 each — to the mothers of SVdP's Family Dining Room drive-thru.

In delivering the roses and gift cards, McNabb spent a moment with SVdP Community Outreach Officer Bruce Cooper on camera, sharing about the importance of remembering and supporting moms in the community. He even recounted a few fond memories of Mother's Day in his own family and what a world of difference it meant having a caring and supportive mother in his life. Watch the mini interview in the video above!

Thank you to all those who partner with us daily to make sure mothers and families feel loved and supported even in the toughest of times. We hope families, and moms especially, had a lovely Mother's Day weekend.
