Help for TSA employees facing hardships

TSA employees in Arizona have experienced financial hardship due to the government shutdown, and St. Vincent de Paul is here to ensure that those families affected remain safely housed, their utilities remain connected, and their basic needs are met.

Our Neighbors Need Us Now

TSA employees around the country have now gone without a paycheck for over a month. These men and women who faithfully protect our communities in airports and in the sky are now facing urgent financial hardship.

More than 900 TSA employees in Arizona may need assistance with food, rent or mortgage payment, and essential utilities (gas, water, and electricity) since the shutdown began.

Together, we can can provide targeted relief to stabilize households in immediate crisis.

How you can help:

    • On average $2,000 can help keep a family in their home during a crisis.
    • A gift of $25 can provide a food box to feed a family of four for up to 2-3 days.
  • Drop off nonperishable items at any Albertsons or Safeway location, where St. Vincent de Paul donation boxes are available at more than 132 stores statewide.
  • Most-needed items include:
    • Proteins: canned meats, chicken, tuna, peanut butter
    • Canned goods: vegetables, pasta sauce, soup, condiments
    • Dry goods: rice, beans, cereal, oatmeal, and packaged snacks
