2022 Holiday Drives for Food and Families
Happy Holidays from St. Vincent de Paul! With inflation and the cost of living soaring across Arizona, and especially across the Valley, more people than ever are in need this season. That's why it's so important to help this year however you can so that no family goes without a taste of the holidays — be it a delicious meal or a present under the Christmas tree.
SVdP is keeping it super simple for you to help families right in your neighborhood. Below are a couple of holiday community initiatives that make it easy to participate. Whether it's donating nonperishables for the pantry or supporting food drives and campaigns with your dollar, there is bound to be a way for everyone to get involved.

Turkey Tuesday: Put a Turkey on a Family's Dinner Table
12 News is partnering with AJ's, Bashas’ and Food City to help get turkeys to SVdP through the annual Turkey Tuesday drive, the largest one-day turkey drive in the nation that's celebrating 30 years this year! All those turkey go into SVdP's kitchen and the kitchens of families across the Valley. All month long, you can help give us a head start by making a donation at the register. Each $20 will provide a turkey for a local family in need. You can also donate online right from the comfort and safety of your home.
On Turkey Tuesday, Nov. 22, visit your local Bashas' and Food City to donate a turkey. SVdP food pantry volunteers will be stationed at every store to take your donation back to the nearest pantry. Those turkeys will be packed straight into a food box and many of them will end up in a local family's home by the end of the night!
Feed the Valley: Holiday Hunger Campaign
Albertsons and Safeway join forces again with FOX 10, 102.5 KNIX, and SVdP to help Arizona families facing food insecurity
For nearly two decades Albertsons and Safeway has partnered with SVdP over the holidays to help feed hungry families across the state. This year’s hunger campaign kicks off on Nov. 1 and runs through Dec. 31. Thanks to media partners, FOX 10 Arizona and 102.5 KNIX, along with the Super Bowl Host Committee, this year’s campaign is expected to feed over one million in need.
You can help support the campaign by visiting any Albertsons or Safeway location statewide and donate at checkout or donate online.
Every donation allows SVdP to continue feeding families this holiday season and into the new year!
