Support Turkey Tuesday with a community fundraiser
Rally your community and collect funds to provide holiday meals for families in need!
In 1992, 12 News and the Bashas' Family of Stores partnered with St. Vincent de Paul to host the very first Turkey Tuesday drive. Since then, it has grown into the largest one-day turkey drive in the country providing thousands of turkeys and holiday meals to families in need around Arizona each year.
This year, there are even more ways you can get involved.
From now until Turkey Tuesday (Nov. 25), your friends, family or coworkers can help support Turkey Tuesday through community fundraisers. Sign up to host a digital fundraiser and rally your community to collect the most money for families in need this Thanksgiving.
Some fun ways to fundraise this Thanksgiving:
- Thanksgiving Countdown Calendar: Create a daily giving challenge for the weeks leading up to Turkey Tuesday where each day features a different small ask (bring coffee money, skip lunch out, etc.)—coworkers donate through your office fundraiser page and watch the total grow on a shared tracker.
- Friendsgiving: Hosting a Friendsgiving this year? Turn your Friendsgiving into a force for good by creating a fundraiser page and asking guests to donate the cost of one turkey ($20) to help feed a family in need.
- Turkey Bowl Tournament: Organize a touch football, bowling, or board game tournament on Thanksgiving morning with an entry fee that goes toward your fundraiser—winners get bragging rights and everyone helps feed families.
