Every Tuesday and Thursday you'll find volunteers from the Recovery Empowerment Network (REN) at St. Vincent de Paul, prepping the Phoenix Dining Room for meal service. REN works with people recovering from addiction and mental health issues. It takes all kinds of organizations and people to help heal our community. That's why SVdP is grateful to REN for serving and offering a helping hand. For the REN volunteers, it's a selfless act of charity but also a crucial part of their recovery programming, which helps them move beyond their struggles to help others in need. Watch their Behind the Hope story above or click here.
Behind the Hope is brought to you by SVdP's Bruce Cooper and Chris Peterson.
We prepare and serve 4,000 meals every day in our 5 dining rooms. Give today to help us provide hot, nourishing meals for our hungry neighbors.
